After surfing the waves of Christmas Island, let’s jump back almost 600 years to the Iberian Peninsula for the lively Spanish carol Riu Riu Chiu.

After last week’s dip in the Irish Sea, let’s head to the sun and sand of the South Pacific for Christmas Island – a tune proving Christmas doesn’t need snow.

Over the next few weeks, I’ll be looking into some traditions and customs associated with Christmas Around the World. First stop – the Emerald Isle of Ireland!
