Corn Flakes, Bubble Gum, and Liberty

Americans are a proud people. We’re proud of our country, proud of our history, and proud of ourselves. In fact, one of the things we’re most proud of – is being proud of being American.

The Big, the Small, and the Everyday

Our national identity isn’t just forged in heavy history books or carved into grand stone monuments. It’s woven into the ordinary, wonderful fabric of our everyday lives.

What’s More American has fun with this national pride by looking at both the legendary and delightfully mundane elements that combine to make us a nation. Honoring the Fourth of July and George Washington? Of course. But this song reminds us that the American experience is filled with simpler things as well – including Bingo, Virginia Ham, and Bubble Gum.

And what could possibly be more American than all of them? Well, that would be little old me, thank you very much. 🇺🇸

A Sonic Scavenger Hunt

It was great fun writing the arrangement for this piece, as it provided several opportunities to add in musical Easter eggs that reflect the lyrics. When you listen, be sure to keep your ear out for the crack of a baseball bat, Paul Revere’s horse, and more. And is that a mariachi band I hear as well?
